Important
Notice! This website is getting expensive to run and time consuming with over 4000 links-and growing every day and is now considered the largest and most comprehensive of it's type with 50,000 hits per month-and rising!. Many sites demand membership payments or a request to" Click on one of our Sponsors" to generate revenue. The site then has pop-up menus all over the place which annoys everybody and hinders enjoyment -I have had numerous such offers but have declined-after all the site is to promote Irish/Celtic music and culture with a sense of humour.......HOWEVER...I have a solution....my band "Celtic Clan" has just released a new C.D.....and good stuff might I add. You can purchase a copy on-line by credit card over a secure circuit from CDBABY (if you wish to purchase a copy by money order please e-mail me frankryan@liveirishmusic.com ) and a portion of every sale will go to the upkeep and further advancement of LiveIrishMusic.com I have placed all requests for links for everyone who has requested them and most times not linked back to here-GET ON IT !! So click on the CD cover (left) to be taken to the CDBABY site where you can sample 2 minutes from 4 of the tracks-and hopefully purchase a copy for U.S.$14.00 (plus shipping)!! Keep music ALIVE by keeping it LIVE! Frank Ryan |

Hi. We're The Mammals: Ruth Ungar, Michael Merenda & Tao
Rodriguez-Seeger.
<http://www.themammals.net>
We're in our mid-twenties and play a mixture of contemporary original songs
and a variety of traditional material with a heavy emphasis on old-time on
guitar, banjo, fiddle, ukulele, and vocals.
One of our members, Alicia Jo Rabins, had to leave the band, so we're a trio
right now wanting to reform as a quartet as soon as we find the right
person. Ideally, we're looking for a young, female, fiddler who can sing
&
compose - and lives within a couple of hours of the Hudson Valley - but we
remain quite open minded. If you're interested, please give us a holler!
Here's some history. Our band had it's first gig in February 2001, things
really took off and we've been playing coffeehouses, concert halls and
festivals ever since. We have studio dates for the recording of our second
CD, a west-coast tour in the works for the spring, and festival plans for
summer. For more information check out our web page the quotes below.
